The Kitchen Episode 7

I'm trying to write this while I watch LOST. It's not going too well, so I have a feeling this post is going to be mainly photos.

My kitchen is finished, minus accessories. Dad's job is done, now I've got to call on Momma's help. I'm incredibly indecisive, so I need someone who can just tell me what should be where. Anyway, enough about me, let's talk about my kitchen instead. :)

Quick refresher: 6 months ago it looked like this.

Thankfully there is no more yellow. Not that I don't like yellow. It's just that once I read that couples tend to fight more in a yellow kitchen, and I was stressed out that my future husband and I might say things we don't intend to just because of my yellow kitchen, which in the end would be all my fault. Internet, stop making fun of me for worrying about fighting with a guy I've never even met. You'd worry, too if you were in my shoes.

Now it looks like this.

And one more crooked before and after.

I'm in love with my kitchen. It's just like I dreamed. And the best part is that my total kitchen make-over only cost me $1,200 thanks to Craigslist and my dad's ingenuity with the bowling alley countertops. I'll do one final episode once all the little things land in the right place. In case you need the recap, Episode 6 can lead you to all the previous Kitchen Updates.

  4. I love your kitchen! We re-did ours right before we got married and it was the best thing! It's so nice to have a comfortable, pretty place to cook. Your new blog is cute, too! oh and the comment about couples fighting because of the color yellow cracked me up... i know what you mean! i read that couples that sleep in king size beds have a higher divorce rate than couples that don't... so no king size bed for us!
