What I Wore Wednesday

Something I don't blog about at all is fashion, but the thing is, I really, really, really like clothes. I also really, really, really like changing up my outfits. So it would make sense for me to write about it. However, it includes photos of me, and I try to avoid that as much as possible because I make silly faces when I have a camera on me. Ask Raylene. She's Skyped with me enough to know that I have some goofy faces.

Anyway, one of my favorite blogs, The Pleated Poppy, does "What I Wore Wednesday" each week, and I've always wanted to participate, so I figure there is no time like the present. You should know, that these pictures come from the last couple of weeks because I keep meaning to participate, and I don't, and then I get snowed in and wear my sweat pants all day. I know, excuses, excuses.

I wore this to work last week. I needed some color that morning - and coffee!
Scarf - Target
T-shirt - Lane Bryant
Cardigan - TJ Maxx
Pants - TJ Maxx
Boots - DSW

For the record, the strap you see in this photo is my purse. It's not some forward thinking accessory like I'm sure you all thought.
Dress - Half of Half
Cardigan - Lane Bryant
Belt - Cato
Boots - DSW

I love how you all get to see every mirror in my house with these photos.
Sweater - Old Navy ($5, I might add!)
Skirt - I don't know. I've had it forever
Boots - DSW - apparently they're the only boots I own.

See that little flower on my boot? That is meant as a hair accessory. My fabulous sister-in-law gave me a whole box of flowers for Christmas, and she also gave me the fabulous idea of clipping one to my boot to add some pizazz.
Cardigan - TJ Maxx
Shirt - Old Navy (I think - it's old)
Belt - Garage Sale
Skirt - Old Navy
Boots - You guessed it, DSW

This is one of my go-to outfits. Denim skirt, cardigan, scarf, boots. It works every time.
Cardigan - Lane Bryant
Shirt - Gap
Skirt - Still don't know
Boots - Payless

My goal for next time is to use my real camera, and to take more accessory shots. See, I'm setting goals. This is good. I need you to hold me to it, Internet. You all know how I am with goal-setting!

  1. Lovely! Now that you've changed my makeup routine, maybe I could get some tips about getting out of my jeans and a sweater rut? ;)

  3. So I tried to comment the following from my phone the other night... and it wouldn't let me... so here it is now:

I'd like to point out that the scarf in the first pic was a gift from your fabulous friend, Raylene... AND the outfit in pic 2 was put together again by your fabulous friend, Raylene. Now... all of that to say... Everything I've learned about fashion came from you :)

BTW: I tagged you for the Liebster Award today!! Check out my blog for the details: http://raylenenicole.blogspot.com/2013/03/libester-award.html
