I'd rather be able to face myself in the bathroom mirror than to be rich and famous. -Ani DeFranco

I'm back! If any of you even realized I was missing, I just needed a short break. Well, a month is kind of a long break. I didn't intend for it to be a break, but 1 week turned into 4 before I knew it. It was much need, but I'm excited to share with you all what's been happening for the last month. Let's start with the bathroom remodel today, shall we?

Remember what my bathroom used to look like?

Seriously, I bought a house with a bathroom looking like this. Okay, the drywall was not all over the floor, but the sink and toilet were just like this. Luckily, it looks more like this today.

We moved things around a bit, so we could fit a shower in there. Now I have 2 full working bathrooms. Hooray! And yes, that is a chalk board. Sometimes people get bored while they are in the bathroom, so a good hostess keeps them entertained. :)

Eventually, I have a little project I'd like to do with the light fixture. I'll blog about it when I get to it.

The vanity was the toughest part of the whole process. I wanted something really unique. I thought about a farm house table, a pedestal sink, or painting an old vanity something funky. Then Home Depot had their "Vanity Insanity" deal, and I got this thing with the sink and all for $99, and all my ideas went out the window. The rectangle sink is what sold me on it.

The color is Shewin William's plum brown, the tiles came from a construction auction, and the mirror was in my bedroom growing up.

I promise it won't be another month before I update.
